Manoj Bajpayee On Being Tested Positive For COVID-19: ‘I Was Infected Because Someone Else Was Not Following The Rule’

Actor Manoj Bajpayee tested positive for COVID-19 recently after the film Despatch director was contracted with the deadly virus. After being diagnosed, The Family Man actor immediately went under home quarantine and took the necessary medication while also following the protocols. Due to this, the actor attended the trailer launch of his upcoming film, Silence… Can You Hear It virtually. During the media interactions, he revealed that he got infected because someone was not following the rule.
“I am quarantined because of being infected by Coronavirus. I was infected because someone else was not following the rule,” Manoj informed the media during the virtual trailer launch. Talking about shooting in the new normal, Manoj said, “There are no issues if COVID-19 protocols are followed. The production house made sure that everyone followed the COVID-19 protocol. There is a limitation (with the new normal) but we have to get used to it. We could complete the film only because we followed the protocol. Of course, it takes time to adjust. Sanitisers and masks have become part of our life. But we have to continue working.”
Manoj Bajpayee’s team shared a statement, confirming the actor’s health. “Manoj Bajpayee has tested Covid positive after his director was infected with it. The shoot has stopped and will resume in a couple of months. Manoj Bajpayee is on medication and recovering well. He is in self-quarantine at home and following all precautions.”
