Manoj Bajpayee Wants Theatres To Run At 100 Per Cent Occupancy, Says Expect Normalcy ‘Only When The Vaccine Reaches Everyone’
The Coronavirus scare is unfortunately still intact. Despite the vaccine coming into everyone’s life, the positive cases are only rising rapidly. Currently, Maharashtra is the worst affected area among others and it is reported there can be another lockdown soon, considering the crazy numbers. With the second wave of COVID-19, even the theatres are back to 50 per cent of capacity. Reacting to the same, actor Manoj Bajpayee who tested positive for Coronavirus says he wants the normalcy to return only when the vaccine reaches everyone. Talking to Etimes about 50 per cent capacity, he said he wants parallel entertainment mediums, other than OTT.

He quoted saying, “Theatres going back to 50 per cent capacity has really saddened everyone from the industry. I personally want theatres to strive. I want parallel entertainment mediums, other than OTT and satellite, to thrive well so that people in the industry have jobs in plenty, and they have various mediums to choose from. There is not only one medium ruling over the industry, because that will not do well for anyone. The theatres should do well. I really want the normalcy to return, which will only be possible when the vaccine reaches everyone and everyone starts behaving responsibly.”

“I want theatres to run on 100 per cent occupancy. However, it’s a call taken by the government authorities as they know better than us. They are looking at the larger picture; all officials are working day and night to control the numbers,” he further said.

He also said that people should be responsible more and take care of the ongoing situation as then only the pending films can release on time which will be better for everyone in the industry. ALSO READ: Manoj Bajpayee Says He Had Given Up Hope Of Winning National Award After His Earlier Performances Were Snubbed
