Poet and lyricist Manoj Muntashir on Tuesday took to social media to share a video in which he compares 'Mughal emperors' to 'dacoits'. He captioned the video as, "Choose Your Legacy And Your Heros". In the video, he dubs Mughal rulers like Humayun, Jehangir and Akbar "glorified dacoits' and questions if everyone has been "brainwashed" into glorifying Mughals. Manoj's words didn't go down well with many.

From Richa Chadha to Neeraj Ghaywan and many others are slamming him for spreading hate. Actress Richa Chadha who is known to speak her mind wrote, "Cringe. Bad poetry, unwatchable. Should drop the pen name too. Why profit off of something you so hate."

Replying to Richa's tweet, a Twitter user wrote in Hindi, "Ma'am there is no bigotry in this. Calling Mughals wrong isn't calling Islam wrong," to which she responded, "Haan, maine toh jaane teen saal laga kar University mai ithihaas kyu padha.
