Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film MayDay went on floors some months back. The film has been in the news ever since it was announced. Devgn also made a tweet on his Twitter and shared the release date as well. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, and Rakul Preet Singh. According to the latest reports, Ajay Devgn’s film Mayday crew members have been booked by officials in Vasai for flouting COVID-19 rules. The film is produced under the banner of Ajay Devgn Ffilms.

As per a report in Mid-Day, a source revealed that Ajay Devgn’s film crew have been booked by Manikpur police in Vasai for reportedly flouting COVID-19 rules. The report stated that the crew kick-started shooting in Vasai since March 24 on Suncity grounds. Reportedly, a dozen people, including the location manager claimed to have taken permission from the tehsildar for the filming. In the report, Police Inspector Bhausaheb Ahire of Manikpur police shared that they discovered crew members of MayDay violating COVID-19 rules during patrolling. The officer revealed that around 15 people on the set were not following the rules, out of which some were not wearing masks or others had masks hanging down.

The police official said, “After seeing the large set up at Suncity grounds, we called the location manager who told us that he has secured permission from the tahsildar to shoot for the film. The location manager told us that Ajay Devgn was to come to shoot in Vasai.” Ahire added, “Around 15 people at the set were not following COVID rules. Either they were not wearing masks, or it was hanging down to protect their chins. They were also not maintaining social distancing. We have asked them to bring down the set.”

Meanwhile, a case was registered in the Manikpur police station under Sections 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 269 (Act likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life) of the Indian Penal Code. The registered case was also under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, said the report.
