The film will see Arjun in a double role, with Athiya Shetty and Ileana D’Cruz as his leading ladies.
Apparently, it was Anil who approached Sanjay Kapoor for the cameo and he quickly came on board. After all, who would miss an opportunity to share the big screen with their family members!
We can tell you that it is a brief but significant appearance. Sanjay will be shown as Arjun’s father who dies in an accident. This becomes a momentous event in all the characters’ lives.

Sanjay Kapoor was last seen in the Shahid Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer Shaandaar (2015), where he played the flashy father of the groom at a big, fat, Indian wedding abroad.
The actor who was a part of ‘90s hits like Raja, Mohabbat and Sirf Tum, was also credited as a producer in Arjun Kapoor-Sonakshi Sinha starrer Tevar.
And now Sanjay Kapoor has once again stepped in front of the cameras.
Arjun Kapoor As Karan And Charan In Mubarakan
Mubarakan revolves around Karan and Charan (Sanjay’s onscreen sons played by Arjun), identical twins, who through a twist of fate end up being brought up as cousins. While one grows up in Chandigarh, the other is brought up in London.
When their romantic lives intersect to create confusion, their genius uncle, Kartar (Anil Kapoor) promises to get them their dream girls.
Mubarakan hits theatres on July 28.
