So by now you know the climax scene of Mission Mangal is the entire team-Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, J Dattatreya- walking jubiliantly towards you when their Mars mission is accomplished. But this was not the original scene in R Balki's (Co-writer and Creative Director) final draft.
Woh kehte hain na, certain gut feelings hit the bull's eye. Aisa hi kuch hua in Mission Mangal. While the climax scene was being discussed, the entire team including Jagan Shakti (director), Balki and all actors felt that the walk would work out better.
The original scene was Akshay praising his team members (scientists), a sort of speech if I am not wrong.

What a marvellous performance by Akshay! How effortlessly he has pulled this off! Ditto for each and everyone in the cast, nobody turned out to be a weak link.
Coming back to the scene in question, the team's walk gladdens your heart no end. Akshay's speech would have also been equally heartwarming and even packed with a punch. Remember his fantastic speech towards the climax in PadMan?
