Finally! After treating their fans with different posters and teaser, the makers just dropped the much-awaited trailer of Mission Mangal. The film stars Akshay Kumar with his team of space scientists- Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen and Sharman Joshi. The 2-minute-52-second trailer is based on the true story of ISRO’s journey to Mars.

This afternoon, the star cast of Mission Mangal teased their fans with yet another goofy picture of all of them from the sets. Captioning which Akshay wrote, “Akshay wrote, “We are good to go with #MissionMangal trailer launch at 13.30 hours. For those who don’t know, Mission Mangal which is slated to release on August 15 will clash with Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho and John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur starrer Batla House. During the trailer launch of Batla House, when John was asked the his film clashing with Akshay’s Mission Mangal, he had told reporters, “Make some noise for the desi boys! What else can I say?”


Produced by Balki and Akshay Kumar, directed by Jagan Shakti, the makers are hoping that the film becomes a landmark in Indian cinema, much like the Hollywood sci-fi films. A film that inspires as much as it entertains. Presented by Fox Star Studios, produced by Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions and Fox Star Studios. Mission Mangal releases this Independence Day!
