Mumbai rains have wreaked havoc. At the receiving end is the general public and film and TV celebrities. Many have had to cancel their shoots and promotional events slated for the day. Others who had plans to travel out of the city for work and leisure are stranded as flights don’t seem to be taking off as per schedule.

Replying to her tweet, Rakul Preet Singh, who has been stranded at the airport since last night revealed that operations had come to a grinding halt.

In her post, Sonam Kapoor asked, "Can anyone tell me if the airport is open? @mybmc @MumbaiPolice @BOMairport". To which De De Pyaar De actress Rakul Preet Singh replied, "No flights have taken off since last night .. m stuck at the airport". Check out their tweets:

The main runway at the airport is shut and rail services have also been affected. Maharashtra CM has declared July 2, as a public holiday. The heavy downpour in Mumbai is making national headlines.
