Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap recently reacted to the sexual harassment allegations levelled against him by actress Payal Ghosh. As Payal Ghosh alleged that Kashyap forced himself on her, the Dev D director called the allegations ‘baseless’. Anurag Kashyap also mentioned that he does engage in such behaviour or tolerate it. Soon later, after Anurag Kashyap tweeted his clarification, actress Taapsee Pannu made a post in support of the filmmaker. Now, actor ‘Nana Patekar’ trends on social media with Anurag Kashyap. On Twitter, one social media user tweeted, “Where are you @taapsee??? When tanushree dutta claims nana patekar tried to abuse her, you're in the front row to pull nana ji's leg, now your friend Anurag molested Payal Gosh ,you don't have anything to say?? Shame on you!!#ArrestAnuragKashyap #ShameOnYouTaapsee.” Another tweeted, “I don't Know whether Anurang is right or wrong but Taapsee was the one who was against nana patekar(all allegations proved baseless) once and today she is calling his friend Aunrag  feminist hypocrisy- Taapsee Pannu #TapseePannu #AnuragKashyap.”

Many netizens questioned where are the feminist today when Payal Ghosh levelled allegations against Anurag Kashyap. The social media users took to Twitter to trend ‘Nana Patekar’ questioning why no one is standing against Kashyap when even the veteran actor was had to face consequences when Tanushree Dutta levelled allegations against him during the #MeToo movement. The social media users mentioned how Nana Patekar was found not guilty by the law, and questioned why no action is taken against Kashyap.

On the other hand, one social media user also tweeted, “Media trials were held against Nana Patekar for 'alleged harrasment' but not against Anurag Kashyap. Meanwhile, in 2008, actress Tanushree Dutta accused Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of the movie Horn 'Ok' Pleassss. Later in 2018, Dutta restated her accusation against Nana Patekar that led to the Me Too movement coming to Bollywood. An FIR was then registered against Patekar at the Oshiwara Police station. Eventually, in June 2019, Patekar was cleared of the sexual harassment charges by the police. On the other hand, speaking with ETimes, Payal Ghosh mentioned that she has no proof against Anurag Kashyap.
