As Badhaai Ho wins the Best Wholesome Entertainer of the year award at the National Film Awards 2019, Neena Gupta shares her happiness with us exclusively
The winner's list of The National Film Awards 2019 was announced sometime back and Badhaai Ho emerged at the recipient of Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and actor Surekha Sikri was awarded the Best Supporting Actress for her role in Badhaai Ho. We got in touch with Neena Gupta and the actress was ecstatic about the big win.
Neena Gupta who plays the role of Ayushmann Khurrana's mother who gets pregnant after crossing the age of 50plus. Surekha Sikri plays the role of her mother-in-law in the film. Talking to us Neena Ji said, " I am very happy because our film has got two awards. Best film because I know it is the most popular film of the year and I am so glad that Surekhaji got the Best Supporting Actress Award because she is kind of our teacher of acting and what she has done in Badhaai Ho! nobody could do. I am very glad for my director, for my whole team and Surekhaji"
