Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who had been working on two back-to-back films amid the pandemic, has now returned to his hometown Budhana to be with his mother and his family. In 2020, Nawazuddin spent most of the lockdown with his family in Budhana, but got back to work as soon as the restrictions had eased. The actor shot for Sangeen in Lucknow, after which, he headed to Lucknow from London to shoot for Jogira Sara Ra Ra. The actor reveals that it was very hectic for him, and felt that he should take a break and go for detox.
While speaking to ETimes, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said that he is currently in Budhana with his family and there’s nothing better than that. “Every day, I am just praying that everything gets back to normal, things improve for the country, and that everyone starts working,” he said. When asked when he would return to Mumbai, Nawazuddin said that he was uncertain about that. “Things are very tough right now, I am not sure when I will return to Mumbai”, he said.
Speaking about his time shooting for Sangeen, he said, “I shot for ‘Sangeen’ in January. We were shooting for it in London and it was completely empty! There was a new COVID strain there and London was under a lockdown. It was a horrible situation but we continued to shoot with a lot of precautions.”
Meanwhile, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has also been in news for his personal life. Last year, his wife Aaliya had sent a divorce notice to the actor, however, she cancelled the divorce in March this year. She revealed that Nawazuddin Siddiqui looked after their two kids- Yaani and Shora- when Aaliya had contracted the Coronavirus, after which she had a change of heart.
