NCW Asks Twitter To Block Siddharth's Account Over His 'Subtle Cock' Comment Against Saina Nehwal; Ace Badminton Player Says, 'I Used To Like Him As An Actor'
Siddharth is currently making headlines for controversial reasons. For the uninitiated, Siddharth landed himself in trouble after he passed a 'sexist' remark against Saina Nehwal. Ace badminton player Saina Nehwal had earlier shared her thoughts on the security breach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She had tweeted, "No nation can claim itself to be safe if the security of its own PM gets compromised. I condemn, in the strongest words possible, the cowardly attack on PM Modi by anarchists."

Following this, Siddharth took to Twitter and quoting Saina's tweet, he wrote, "Subtle cock champion of the world... Thank you God we have protectors of India. Shame on you #Rihanna." His tweet didn't go down well with many who slammed him for the same. On Monday, the National Commission for Women (NCW) wrote a letter to Twitter requesting it to block the Rang De Basanti actor's account. In the letter written by NCW Chairperson, Rekha Sharma has asked Twitter to immediately block his account and take action against him.

Badminton player Parupalli Kashyap took to Twitter to respond to Siddharth's comments about his wife. He wrote, "This is upsetting for us express ur opinion but choose better words man. I guess u thought it was cool to say it this way. #notcool #disgraceful."

Saina Nehwal has also responded to Siddharth's comments and said that she used to like him as an actor. Speaking to News18, she said, "Ya I'm not sure what he meant. I used to like him as an actor but this was not nice. He can express himself with better words but I guess it's Twitter n u remain noticed with such words n comments."
