Neetu Kapoor Says Her Staff Was ‘Outstanding’ When She Contracted The Virus; Reveals ‘They Told Me They’d Rather Get COVID-19 Than Leave Me Alone’
Bollywood actor Neetu Kapoor tested positive for COVID-19 back in December last year. The actress had contracted the deadly virus when she was busy shooting for her upcoming film Ju Jugg Jeeyo in Chandigarh. After testing positive, Neetu Kapoor travelled to Mumbai to stay under home quarantine. She was moved by an air ambulance. Now, in an interview, the actress opens up about the time when she got the virus. She speaks highly of her staff as they stayed with her at home and took care of her.

Speaking with Mid-Day, Neetu Kapoor called her staff ‘outstanding’. She shared that her staff left a food tray for her every single day and lived with her too. The actress said, “At home, my staff would leave my tray of food outside. I was on the floor below, while they were upstairs. My staff was outstanding! They told me they’d rather get Covid than leave me alone. They never took off their masks. In the morning, I would let fresh air come in. Although they were around four or five people, none got infected."

During the interview, Neetu Kapoor shared that many others on the set of Jug Jugg Jeeyo also got infected. She revealed that she felt terribly guilty and hence she came back to Mumbai and self-quarantined. Neetu Kapoor revealed, “Everyone was young and said that Neetu auntie would need time to recover, but I made it. I was being made to quarantine in Chandigarh but I wanted to return. Karan (Johar) arranged for me to be put in a plastic enclosure and transported in a charter air ambulance.”

Meanwhile, Neetu Kapoor resumed work about 10 days after testing negative. A week after testing positive, Kapoor had made a post and confirmed contracting the virus, after the much speculation surrounding the topic. This week, Neetu Kapoor’s son, actor Ranbir Kapoor tested positive for COVID-19. The actress confirmed the news.
