Shah Rukh Khan has smashed all records at the box office with his recent release 'Pathaan' which has crossed Rs. 400 crores globally. Siddharth Anand’s directorial has minted a whopping Rs 313 crore at the global box office in just three days and it is just unstoppable. Amidst 'Pathaan’s massive success, an old statement by Neha Dhupia “either sex sells or Shah Rukh Khan’ has taken the internet by storm. Interestingly, the actress has now reacted to her old viral statement.
On Saturday, Neha responded to a Twitter user’s post that read, “Almost 2 decade back @NehaDhupia had given a statement 'only sex or #ShahRukhKhan sells ' and that stays true even today! #Pathaan #Pathaan100crWorldwide #PathaanRoars.” Replying to this, Dhupia said, “20 years on, my statement rings true.This is not an "actor's career" but a "King's reign"! #KingKhan @iamsrk.”

For the unversed, Neha during the promotions of her film 'Julie' had said in an interview, “Julie has love-making scenes and shots exposing my bare back… I’m not affected by the sex symbol tag. It doesn’t bother me if people say I have overshadowed Mallika Sherawat and Bipasha Basu by exposing in Julie. In today’s time, either sex sells or Shah Rukh Khan. So I would rather be a sex prop in my next five films.”
Neha played the role of a sex worker in Deepak Shivdasani’s erotic thriller. She had many love-making and bold scenes in the film.
Meanwhile, talking about 'Pathaan', the film also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham and was released on 25 January. It marked Shah Rukh's comeback to acting after a gap of 4 years.
