Neha Dhupia Reveals Being Dropped Out Of The Project Due To Her Pregnancy
Neha Dhupia who is expecting her second child, was asked to step down from some projects due to her pregnancy
Actress Neha Dhupia announced in July 2021 expecting her second child with her husband Angad Bedi. In conversation with Quint, she revealed how she faced issues in obtaining work due to her pregnancy. The Julie actress stated filmmaker dropped her from the films, despite the actress convincing them to work a way out of it; she clearly got a ‘No’ in the response. Also, she feels though a lot has been changed in the industry, real change-makers are the ones who give opportunities.
She told Quint, “We feel that in the industry a lot has changed. As actors, we can try but it’s the ones who give the opportunity who are the real changemakers. There were so many makers that told me ‘Hey, Neha I’m sorry but you’re pregnant, you’ve got to step down’. I was like ‘Give me a chance where we can work around this’ and it was a clear ‘no’” The actress who is in her third trimester is ready to welcome her second child anytime soon.
Meanwhile, Neha was elated to announce playing a pregnant cop in A Thursday, backed by RSVP. The movie also stars Yami Gautam, Dimple Kapadia and Maya Sarao.
In one of the recent interviews, the actress has expressed that females should not be deprived of work during their pregnancy phase. She feels don’t force a woman to pick between her professional and personal life during pregnancy.
Neha Dhupia posted a picture on her Instagram account, announcing her second pregnancy flaunting her baby bump. She was accompanied by her husband Angad Bedi and daughter Mehr Dhupia Bedi.
