Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar exchanged their wedding vows on February 19 in the presence of their family and close friends. Post wedding, Shibani has changed her name on Instagram. She has changed her name to Shibani Dandekar-Akhtar. Her bio reads, "Producer, Presenter, Actress, Singer, MRS AKHTAR."
Farhan and Shibani's wedding took place at his father Javed Akhtar's house in Khandala. The couple's wedding was attended by Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Honey Irani, Zoya Akhtar, Farah Khan, Anusha Dandekar, Rhea Chakraborty, Hrithik Roshan and others. Several photos and videos from the couple's wedding had gone viral on social media. For the big day, Shibani wore a red and beige gown and completed her look with a veil. The actress looked beyond beautiful as a bride. Farhan, on the other hand, looked dapper in a black tuxedo.
Farhan and Shibani have been dating each other for a long time. The couple often share their cute and romantic moments on Instagram.
Earlier, speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Shibani said that the lockdown ensured that they got to know each other much quicker than they would have otherwise. She said, "We already do so much together, in terms of, we work out together, we watch content together, we would play with our dogs together, and then he would go off and work and I would go off and work. So we had a great balance, that way. And we have a lot of interests that are similar. We both like our time apart as well. We had a great set-up going on, actually."
