Biopics are a big trend now as it connects well with the audience and when it’s based on personalities like Saina Nehwal, who made our nation proud at the 2012 Summer Olympics, it can’t get any better.
We hear that Bollywood’s Saina Nehwal has been finalised and it’s none other than Shraddha Kapoor. Well yes, Shraddha will be playing Saina’s role in her biopic.

Directed by Amole Gupte and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Shraddha will be seen essaying the role of Saina in her biopic which is slated to release in 2018.
Talking to a leading daily, Shraddha confirmed the news and said, "Most girls would have played badminton at some point in their lives in school. I feel so lucky to be playing Saina, who is not just among the world's top badminton players, but also a youth icon. I can't wait to start prepping for my role".
When ace player Saina Nehwal got to know about the news, she seemed elated, "Whoa! That's news to me... I was aware of the film, yes. But I didn't know about this casting. It's great if Shraddha is playing me, because she is a very talented actress and very hardworking! I am sure she will do justice to the role. The best part is, she is a good friend as well. So it will be easier to teach her some badminton (laughs). A lot of people tell me that we look similar and I think that's a huge compliment, cos Shraddha is very beautiful." said the Olympic winner.
