Bollywood is set for another sports biopic. Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, who took Indian tennis to great heights and have a record of 23 doubles victories, are going to reunite for an OTT project. The said project will be helmed by Nitesh Tiwari and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari for Zee5. The series will unravel the untold story of the two legends and the relationship they have shared all these years. Ashwiny Iyer and Nitesh Tiwari informed their fans and followers of the project with a picture with the tennis stars on Twitter.
The Bareilly Ki Barfi director wrote in her social media post, “I'm honoured and filled with immense gratitude to play my part in bringing this incredible story of the legendary pair of @leanderpaesand @mbhupathi to the world along with @niteshtiwari22 on #ZEE5.” She also dropped a picture of herself and her husband posing with the tennis duo. Mahesh Bhupathi’s wife, former Miss Universe and actress Lara Dutta dropped a hurray emoji in the comment section.

Nitesh has earlier directed another biopic -- Dangal -- based on the lives of Phogat sisters. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari directed Panga, starring Kangana Ranaut, where the actress plays a former Kabaddi world champion who decides to come back to the field after marriage and experiencing motherhood.
