Ramayana: Is Hrithik Roshan A Part Of This Magnum Opus? Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari Has This To Say
Ever since it was announced that acclaimed filmmakers Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar have teamed up to adapt the ancient Hindu text of Ramayana for the silver screens, there has been humongous anticipation in regards to this project. The live-action film will be shot in 3D and will be a trilogy, which will boast of an ensemble cast from various industries. Rumours were rife that Hrithik Roshan has been roped in to play the character of Lord Rama in the film and it sent all his fans into a tizzy. However, it doesn’t look like this is happening because, the director of the film, Nitesh Tiwari has a different story to tell.

In a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the Dangal director was quizzed about the film’s progress and if Hrithik Roshan has come onboard. To which, Nitesh revealed that the script for Ramayana is underway and that no actor has been signed on the dotted lines, as of now. “No, we are still working on the draft, we will not move and ask anyone till we are not happy and sure of what’s there on the table and what exactly we’re going to do. The casting and other aspects come in later. Sridhar Raghavan is writing the screenplay and once we know where we stand on paper only then we would be moving ahead with the rest of the things,” stated Nitesh.

Meanwhile, Nitesh is currently gearing up for the release of his next film Chhichhore, which stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma in pivotal roles and will release on September 6, 2019.
