A few weeks ago, Deepika Padukone was spotted leaving filmmaker Luv Ranjan’s house along with her ex- boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. This led to speculations that Deepika and Ranbir are both in talks for a film with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety director Luv Ranjan. The filmmaker was named in the #MeToo movement and was accused of sexual harassment by an actress. The pictures of Ranbir- Deepika went viral and people were not happy with the actress working with the director.

In response to the pictures and speculations of Deepika working in Luv Ranjan’s next, #NotMyDeepika started trending on the Internet. Her fans urged her to not work with a sexual harassment accused and some even called her a hypocrite. All of this happened even though it was not confirmed that the actress would work in a project with Luv Ranjan. Now recently, in an interview with Vogue, Deepika was asked if she would work with someone who has been accused of sexual harassment. Much to her fans’ relief, the actress replied, "No! I would not."


Her reply has surely smoothed things out with her disappointed fans! On the work front, Deepika will be next seen in the film Chhapaak. She will be playing the role of Laxmi Agarwal, the acid attack survivor. The film, directed by Meghna Gulzar, also stars Vikrant Massey in the lead along with Deepika. The actress will also be seen with her husband Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan’s  ’83. The film is a sports drama based on India’s victory in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Ranveer Singh will be seen portraying the role of Kapil Dev and Deepika Padukone will play his on screen wife too as Romi Bhatia.
