The casting for Farah Khan's Satte Pe Satta is looking like musical chairs now. The first rumour report that came regarding the film was Shah Rukh Khan slipping into Amitabh Bachchan's shoes for the remake. And since then other reports like Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Kriti Sanon and Katrina Kaif doing the film started coming in the media. But then SpotBoyE.com exclusively told you that the Bharat actress will not be doing the film.
However, the recent reports suggest that Farah is again bringing in her first choice and that is her favourite and friend, Shah Rukh Khan. Yep, you read that right! According to the Mumbai Mirror report, once again, Farah is keen on getting Shah Rukh on board for the remake. It is also reported that his name will be announced soon. Giving a little back story, Hrithik's name appeared in the casting race because it was reported that Farah was not getting along with SRK, hence, Hrithik. Contrary to the reports things are going smooth between the two, Farah is again reconsidering her offer for getting King Khan in the remake.
The original Satte Pe Satta released in 1982 and had Amitabh Bachchan in a double role along with Hema Malini, Shakti Kapoor, Amjad Khan, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Asha Sachdev, Giga Kapoor, Madhu Malhotra and Ranjeet in pivotal roles. It was one of the most-successful multi-starrer movies from the 1980s.
Reportedly, the film will be helmed by both Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan Kunder. An announcement for the same was also been made a long time ago. Well, for now, we have to wait for the makers to officially announce it. But what do you guys think of it?
