Earlier this month, the BJP government suspended Nupur Sharma and expelled its Delhi unit media head Naveen Kumar Jindal following the row over their alleged derogatory remarks against Prophet Mohammad. Nupur’s controversial comments escalated protests from Muslim countries. In fact, with each passing day, the controversy has been gaining momentum as Protests erupted in various states including Punjab, Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. Amidst this row, actress Swara Bhasker recently slammed former cricketer Gautam Gambhir over his 'Secular Liberals' comment.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Gautam Gambhir wrote, "Silence of so called ‘secular liberals’ on the sickening display of hatred & death threats throughout the country against a woman who has apologised is surely DEAFENING! #LetsTolerateIntolerance.” This tweet did not go down well with Swara who took to her Instagram account to lash out at the cricketer. The Veere Di Wedding actress shared a news article carrying Gautam’s post and wrote, “Inko bulldozers ki aawaaz nahi sunaai pad rahi lekin!.” ALSO READ: Kangana Ranaut Condemns Death Threats Against Suspended BJP Spokesperson Nupur Sharma: ‘Hindu Gods Are Insulted Everyday’
