OMG! Akshay Kumar To GIVE UP His Canadian Passport? Actor Says, ‘Whatever I Have Earned Is From India’
Over the years, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has earned a huge fan following thanks to his action-hero persona and comedy movies. While he has been credited for his dedication towards his movies, the actor is often criticised for his Canadian citizenship. During a recent interaction, he opened up about the same and expressed how he feels bad when people comment on things they know nothing about.

In an interview, in the new season of Seedhi Baat on AajTak, Akshay talked about his decision to renounce his Canadian passport and shed light on why he postponed doing so. It is a well-known fact that the 55-year-old actor had faced a slump in career during the 90s and early 2000s, when he had delivered more than 15 flops. The poor box-office performance of his film pushed him to apply for Canadian citizenship so that he could go and work there and earn a living. He said, “I thought that 'bhai, my films are not working and one has to work'. I went there for work. My friend was in Canada and he said, 'come here'. I applied and I got in. I had just two films left for release and it is just luck that they both became superhit.” ALSO READ: Akshay Kumar HUGS And Shares A Conversation With Fan As His Security Team Tackles Man For Jumping Barricades-WATCH
