OMG! Saif Ali Khan Forgets To Mention Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Name In The List Of His Favourite Actresses; Latter’s Reaction Is Every Wife Ever!
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan attended the Red Sea International Film Festival where they spoke about the contribution of women in films
Bollywood star couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan spoke about the importance of actresses in the film industry at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah. They couple, who is an inspiration to many, opened up about the contribution of women in the entertainment industry worldwide. They also championed the initiative that supported women’s parity.
Women have indeed headlined some of the most interesting projects these past few years. Talking about the same, Saif listed down his favourite actresses. When asked to talk about women and their contribution, the older actor said, “Cinema is empty without women for a start. As he drifted off, his wife Kareena in a playful tone reminded him to take her name. She interrupted him by saying, “to your wife!” correcting himself, Saif added, “and to my beautiful wife.”
Sharing an example of his mother, veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, the 52-year-old actor shared, “My mum, her first movie (Apur Sansar) was with Satyajit Ray when she was 16. So I think feminine sensitivity and aggression, that whole aspect of nature is what women in cinema mean to me.” The Laal Singh Chaddha actress further added, “So many different women from across the world are coming to be a part of this festival to celebrate the fact that women are leading the pack whether it is in India or anywhere.”
Talking about the film festival, it kickstarted on December 1 with celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Priyanka Chopra attending the opening ceremony. If reports are to be believed, Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar and Ranbir Kapoor will be present during the closing ceremony. ALSO READ: THROWBACK! On the work front, Saif Ali Khan was last seen in Vikram Vedha alongside Hrithik Roshan. He will soon be seen in Om Raut’s Adipurush, where he portrays the role of Lankesh. Based on Ramayana, the movie also stars Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. As for Kareena Kapoor Khan, she will next be seen in the Hindi adaptation of The Devotion of Suspect X.
