OUT IN THE OPEN: Karan Johar rallies for gay rights
Today is the day when the Supreme Court has decided to reconsider its decision of criminalising homosexuality (Section 377) and prominent filmmaker Karan Johar has voiced his opinion on the controversial law.

The filmmaker, who is currently shooting the Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, posted on Twitter:

“Yes there is hope...and I hope the hope is validated with the just and correct verdict....#Article377 .....”

Lawmakers have been under intense criticism for their archaic views on homosexuality and there is rising public opinion that opposes the draconian Section 377 which makes it  a criminal offence to be a homosexual in India.

Several celebrities and some politicians, including Shashi Tharoor, have come out in support of LGBT rights, asking for the abolishment of the notorious 377.
