Panipat: Kriti Sanon’s First Look As Parvati Bai Inspired By Priyanka Chopra’s Kashibai From Bajirao Mastani?
Ashutosh Gowariker’s upcoming period drama Panipat revolves around the historical Third Battle of Panipat that is considered as one of the mightiest battles fought in the history of India. The magnum opus stars Arjun Kapoor as Sadashiv Rao Bhau, Sanjay Dutt as Ahmad Shah Abdali and Kriti Sanon as Parvati Bai. Some hours ago, the makers of Panipat revealed Sanjay Dutt’s intense first look as Ahmad and it was surely impressive. And, now, Kriti Sanon’s first glimpse as Parvati is out.

While the actress looks both convincing and gorgeous in Parvatibai’s avatar, her poster reminded us that of Priyanka Chopra’s solo poster as Kashibai from Bajirao Mastani. Right from her body posture to the similar attire and jewellery, from a dash of saffron in their respective backgrounds to the overall design of the posters; there are some unmissable similarities. However, keeping the premise of Panipat’s Maratha background in the mind, these things were destined to match. Nevertheless, we are impressed and it looks like Kriti Sanon is to deliver her career-best with Panipat.

Check out the poster below:

Now, take a look at Priyanka Chopra’s poster of Kashibai from Bajirao Mastani:

Meanwhile, Parvati Bai was the second wife of Sadashivrao Bhau, whom she married after the death of his first wife, Uma Bai.

Coming to Panipat, the film marks Ashutosh Gowariker’s comeback after Mohenjo Daro, a film that starred Hrithik Roshan – Pooja Hegde and was a box-office disaster. Panipat is slated to hit the big screens on December 6, 2019. (ALSO READ - Panipat First Look Poster: Sanjay Dutt Looks Fierce As Ahmad Shah Abdali; Trailer Out Tomorrow)
