After lending her voice for Sachin-Jigar’s composition, Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi in Meri Pyaar Bindu (2017), Parineeti is now set to star in a music video. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Pari will be seen in the new rendition of Mehdi Hassan’s classic, Mujhe Tum Nazar Se, with the same title. The lyrics for the new version will be penned by Manoj Muntashir and it will be produced by Bhushan Kumar. The music will be composed by Amaal Mallik. Parinneeti starts shooting for the video next month. Interestingly, Priyanka too appeared in husband Nick Jonas’ music video, Sucker, a few weeks back and now looks like Pari too is taking cues.
Talking about the same the lyricist Manoj Muntashir told the leading tabloid, “Music evolves every day and it’s important to sharpen the song to make it appealing. Pari will be re-dubbing some portions sometime this month; the music video will be shot in May. Pari’s voice is very relatable. Koi ustadi nahi hai, isiliye seedha dil pe lagti hai,” Apart from the Namastey England actress, the music video will also feature a male actor, who is yet to be cast.
When Manoj was asked if the actress will also sing for her upcoming film, the Saina Nehwal biopic, too, he told Mirror, “There are no plans yet. Saina is an emotional story because besides the badminton ace’s achievements, it will also focus on the inherent simplicity of the Hyderabadi girl, who at the end of the day likes to return home to a cup of coffee. My songs will focus on that simplicity.”
