Parineeti Chopra, who made her Bollywood debut with Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl in 2011, has come a long way in her career. She also underwent a dramatic weight loss many years ago, and she has said that it was a result of her wanting to be fit, and not because she was insecure. Parineeti Chopra has been quite vocal about her transformation journey, facing body-shaming, and much more. While speaking to a magazine, she said that she has had a very secure childhood, and is glad she was brought up this way.
Parineeti Chopra, while speaking about body positivity, told the magazine that she doesn’t think about her body in a negative way. She also urged people to stop overthinking. About her workout and fitness routine, Parineeti said that she works out every day for hours, but she does so, in order to be fit, and not because she is insecure. She also said that many people feel insecure about how they look, but she hopes that will change.
In a social media post in 2016, Parineeti Chopra had shared an old picture of her, and revealed what triggered her weight loss. “Today, many people ask me what triggered the weight loss, did I give in to the “bollywood pressure”? To that I say - thank God I became an actor and had that pressure! I am able to achieve what I couldn’t achieve otherwise. I feel more confident, I feel at peace, and I feel proud!” she had written.
On the work front, Parineeti Chopra was last seen in Saina, a film based on the journey of the ace badminton player Saina Nehwal. She was also seen in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and The Girl On The Train. The actress will next be seen in Animal, which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.
