Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was accused of sexual misconduct by actress Payal Ghosh. The Bengali actress took to her social media and said that Kashyap forced himself on her. Later, Kashyap put out his clarification, and his lawyer released a statement as well denying all the allegations. Soon after, Payal Ghosh filed an FIR against Kashyap, for which the filmmaker was questioned recently. Anurag Kashyap’s lawyer then issued a statement denying the allegations and shared evidence that he was out of the country when the incident occurred. Now, as the investigation continues, Payal Ghosh meets with NCW head Rekha Sharma. The Bengali actress shared pictures from the meeting on her social media.
On Twitter, Payal Ghosh shared pictures from her recent meeting with National Commission for women head Rekha Sharma. The actress shared the pictures, and tweeted, “I thank @sharmarekha ma’am the @NCWIndia with the bottom of my heart for standing by me. When some women chose to take sides of a vulture, the organisation stood by me.. #DilSeThankYou.”
The Bengali actress shared the pictures on her social media and thanked the NCW head for standing in her support. Payal Ghosh, in her tweet, thanked Rekha Sharma and the organisation, from the bottom of her heart, for standing by her. She then took a dig at the ones standing in Anurag Kashyap’s support. Payal concluded her tweet by saying ‘Dil Se Thank You’ to the National Commission for women.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Payal Ghosh is planning to meet with the NCW head to discuss her case. She was also clicked at Mumbai airport as she jetted off to New Delhi. On the other hand, after Anurag Kashyap’s lawyer issued a statement denying allegations, the Bengali actress reacted. She also termed the #MeToo movement in India as ‘fake’.
