Bollywood actress Payal Rohatgi is known to attract controversies on social media and has also been in ugly spats and face-offs with other celebrities on social media. She is not one to mince words and has also previously voiced her strong opinions on political issues. The actress recently found out that she had been blocked by the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Police, following which she slammed them for the same.

On Thursday, Payal took to Twitter to rebuke Mumbai Police for blocking her on social media platform. In her tweet, the actress shared a screenshot of Mumbai Police’s Twitter that read, “@MumbaiPolice blocked you.” The actress was furious and wrote a long caption slamming their official page. She furiously went on to say that she feels scared to live in Hindustan if the police will continue to show their biased behavior. Her Tweet read, “Why has @MumbaiPolice blocked me? Are U BFF with drug accused jailed minority tag actor  As a #Hindu I am scared to live in Hindustan if Police has such baised behaviour. Now I understand why my family tells me 2 stop talking 4 Hindus  @Sangram_Sanjeet @PMOIndia @HMOIndia” The actress also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Home Minister in her tweet. The Mumbai Police, as usual, was quick to reply and clarified that they have always stood for all citizens alike. They replied to her tweet with, “Ma’am, Mumbai police has always stood for all citizens alike. Your account is open for access & as a policy and practice, we never restrict interaction with any Mumbaikar. Our technical team is investigating any discrepancy. We regret your experience.”


The Mumbai Police was quick to handle this situation and issued a detailed clarification. Payal Rohatgi was seen in the reality show Bigg Boss season 8 and Nach Baliye 7 and has also appeared in a few films.
