Payal Rohatgi Detained By Rajasthan Police Over Her Alleged Comment On Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru; Actress Responds
Model and actress Payal Rohatgi, who was also a contestant on Bigg Boss 2, has reportedly been detained by Bundi Police. According to ANI, the actress has been detained allegedly for her comment on former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. ANI also reported SP Mamta Gupta saying, “Payal Rohatgi has been detained. Case registered." The actress also shared a post on social media in which she mentions that she has been arrested by Rajasthan Police for making a video on the former PM.

Lokendra Paliwal, Investigating Officer, Sadar Police Station told ANI that Rajasthan Youth Congress general Charmesh Sharma had filed a complaint stating Payal Rohtagi had posted an objectionable video about JL Nehru, Indira Gandhi on Facebook on September 1. “During the investigation, our team reached her residence in Mumbai. Later, we met Rohtagi at her parent's home in Gujarat. We have given her the notice to file a reply in the case," said Investigating officer Lokendra Paliwal. The complaint was filed by Charmesh Sharma in Octoberafter which the police had registered a case under 66 and 67 of the IT act.  As per the report in ANI, Payal Rohatgi is likely to be produced in court on Monday. Meanwhile, Payal Rohatgi took to her social media and claimed that she has been arrested by Rajasthan PPolice for making a video on former PM Nehru. She wrote, “I am arrested by #RajasthanPolice for making a video on #MotilalNehru which I made from taking information from #google  Freedom of Speech is a joke.”
