Piku Director Shoojit Sircar Shares Concern Over Kissing, Hugging And Intimate Scenes In Bollywood Once Shoots Resume After Coronavirus
Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, Shoojit Sircar is wondering if the actors will continue shooting for intimate scenes, hugging and kissing after the pandemic is resolved, take a look
The Coronavirus pandemic has affected almost everything and anything in today’s time, including the film industry. Well, one of the most important precautions to be taken amid the crisis is to avoid getting in physical contact with anyone, as it encourages the spreading of COVID-19. In regards to the same, filmmaker Shoojit Sircar has shared a very relevant question for all the filmy folks out there. Taking to his Instagram, the Piku director raised his concern over the fact that after the situation gets normal; will all the actors continue shooting for intimate scenes?
In his post, the filmmaker wrote, "How the cinema world conducts shooting intimate scenarios in the film to be seen and planned, after all this is over. Especially the intimate kissing/hugging scenes. How close or how far.. or cheat story telling in those intimate scenes for sometime.” In response to the same, Dia Mirza commented, “Guru, the entire process of making a film is intimate! So many people all coming together to create moment after moment in unity and synchronised effort. Aap intimate scene ki baath kar rahe ho, how will all that change? Will we be masked and gloved as a crew? Only time will tell."
Fans, too, were quick to pour in their witty replies under Shoojit’s post. A few users wrote how after the pandemic is over, our film industry will be deported back in those days when kissing and hugging was considered a taboo among the actors.
