Poonam Pandey-Sam Bombay And Rakhi Sawant-Ritesh: Curious Case Of Internet’s Murky Marriages - From Controversy And Sexual Abuse To Happily Ever After?

Poonam Pandey has kissed and made up with husband Sam Bombay after having him arrested for sexual abuse. Meanwhile, Rakhi Sawant’s UK-based dude, Ritesh, remains one of internet’s unsolved mysteries.
Fighting and flourishing for a spot at the primetime news is a certain new marriage, that of Poonam Pandey and long-time boyfriend Sam Bombay. The two tied the knot on September 9. And just within a span of two-and-a-half-weeks, there have been allegations of brutal domestic abuse, a subsequent FIR, an arrest, a parting of ways and surprise, surprise (or not!), a patch-up!
Poonam made shocking allegation against her new husband, branded him a wife-beater and filed an FIR alleging sexual and physical abuse, following which, Sam was arrested in Goa, where Poonam is currently shooting for a project. And 4 days after dropping the bomb, the two have gone ahead and happily patched up. Something doesn’t add up?
First let’s look at the grave charges levelled by Poonam against Sam. By the actress’ own admission, he beat her black and blue and this is not the first time he raised his hand on her. It’s been happening for a period of 1.5yrs but she decided to go ahead and marry him anyway, hoping ‘he would change after marriage.’ While speaking to SpotboyE.com, Poonam said that she was discovered with brutal injuries by the hotel staff in Goa, who subsequently called the cops on Sam. “No, I did not decide to go to the police. The hotel we were staying in, their staff called the police after hearing noise from our room. They came in and saw everything that was happening inside. My face was swollen. I had marks on my body and they could see everything. We are sorry that Poonam had to go through such acute agony. Domestic violence is a grave offence and should not be taken lightly, it’s only fair that the offender be met with the harshest punishment.
A section of users on social media snubbed the news as a desperate attempt at publicity, something the actress has been accused of in the past. Could this really be a case of an imaginative story-telling OR a genuine but pathetic attempt at staying relevant and in news? We are no one to judge and leave the decision to you.
Social media lynching is a real issue and if Poonam’s allegations against Sam are true, we feel extremely sorry for her and for her sake we do wish things work out between the two of them. Meanwhile, another marriage that caught the imagination of the social media, adding to their dilemma (also read entertainment) was Rakhi Sawant’s 2019 mega splash with her NRI dude, Ritesh. Till date no one has met or seen Ritesh, though he did speak over telephonic interviews to a section of the media. Rakhi had confirmed the news in a buoyant fashion, “Well, his name is Ritesh and he is in the UK. In fact, he has already left. My visa is underway and I will join him. Of course I shall continue to work whatever I get in India, so will shuttle for that. I always wanted to produce TV shows and I think my long-standing dream will now be fulfilled. I thank Jesus for giving me such a wonderful husband. He was my fan ever since he first saw my first interview with Prabhu Chawla (Editorial Director of The New Indian Express). After knowing him, I prayed very hard to Jesus that I must become his wife. Woh khawish toh poori ho gayi. God has been kind to me so far."
The UK-based Ritesh has disappeared into oblivion now and it would be safe to say that he remains one of internet’s unsolved mysteries. Last we heard, she had set foot in China to fight the novel Coronavirus, and by her own admission, beaten it to pulp, declaring to her fans, Corona had been defeated. No comments.
