It was earlier today that Badhaai Ho star Neena Gupta reacted to a Twitter post on Saand Ki Aankh. She was of an opinion that the roles of Shooters dadis should have been given to those who match their age instead of casting young actresses like Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar. This led to a debate on Twitter and now, Taapsee has reacted to this. She has penned a long post and said that no one questioned Anupam Kher, Nargis Dutt and others who played characters older to their original age.

In her post, Taapsee has shared that no one questioned when stars like Anupam Kher (Saransh), Nargis Dutt who essayed the role of a mother to Sunil Dutt and others played characters that were not of their age. She also mentioned about Aamir Khan who played a college student in 3 Idiots. She went on to say that people are not appreciative of those who move out of their comfort zones. She even raised a question on Ayushmann playing a gay character in his upcoming film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. Check out her post below:


In the morning, Neena Gupta in a reaction a tweet that spoke about older actresses taking up the lead roles in Saand Ki Aankh, had written, “Yes i was just thinking about this hamari umar ke role toe kamsekam humse kara lo bhai”. Even Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli barged in and said that the actor was offered this film and she had suggested names of Neena Gupta and Ramya Krishnan.
