The trailer of Saandh Ki Aankh released yesterday with stars Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu garnering appreciation from the audience for their phenomenal work. Just like the movie's title, this trailer also hit the bull’s eye leaving the audience impressed and eagerly waiting for its release. But one of the social media users expressed in his/her tweet that it would have been great to cast slightly older actresses for the given role. This, in fact, was the opinion of many!
A Twitter account named urv3’s penned a post appreciating Bhumi and Taapsee but it also mentioned how great it would have been to see actresses such as Neena Gupta, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi portraying the roles of Prakashi Tomar and Chandro Tomar. User’s tweet read, “I love @bhumipednekar and @taapsee but I kinda wish older actors were cast in these roles. Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu were criticized by certain group of people for portraying roles older than their actual age. To which Taapsee had given a befitting reply during her interview with TOI. She had said, “I was pretty surprised and laughed at it thinking, no one questioned me when I played a college girl at 30. Nobody questions when these big actors portray college characters being triple the age. At that time nothing happens”
