The best of two industries - Bollywood’s Deepika Padukone and Tollywood’s Prabhas are coming together for the first time in an untitled film, helmed by Nag Ashwin. This itself has got many psyched and are eagerly waiting to know when the shoot will kick-start. Unfortunately, COVID has turned out to be a spoilsport here as the shooting of the same has been deferred. According to the latest report, the shoot to take place in the month of October but the catch is that Prabhas and Deepika’s work schedule is pretty hectic as they are currently swarmed with multiple projects.
“The current covid wave has taken a toll on the schedule of both Prabhas and Deepika, with their prior commitments getting delayed. Even Nag Ashwin is taking longer than expected to complete the prep work, and he doesn’t want to pace up the things just to take the film on floors. Hence, the team has now mutually decided to postpone it to the month of October,” revealed a source close to the development to Pinkvilla. Reportedly, Prabhas is said to wrap up Prashanth Neel’s Salaar and will complete a major chunk of Om Raut's Adipurush, before completely dedicating his time to Ashwin’s next venture.
On the other hand, Dippy will also wrap up Pathan with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham by end of June. “However, it all depends on the Covid scenario. While she is reading multiple scripts, there is nothing locked and signed at the moment to take off from July,” the source added. The Chhapaak actor also has Fighter with Hrithik Roshan, The Intern Remake with Amitabh Bachchan and the magnum opus, Draupadi under her kitty.
“All these films will take off only post-October. She has the July to October window vacant and the attempts are being made to zero in on a film for this slot. There will be absolute clarity on the same by mid-May,” the source concluded. ALSO READ: Here is Why The Shoot Of Prabhas And Pooja Hegde Starrer Radhe Shyam Got Stalled Abruptly
