Prassthanam Trailer Review: Sanjay Dutt, Ali Fazal’s Political Drama Is A Gripping Tale Of Legacy

Post serving his jail term, Sanjay Dutt is trying hard to get back on his feet. However, his past few films have only turned out to be disasters. Now, hopes are hung on his production venture Prassthanam. The trailer of this political thriller has recently been unveiled and must say, it is intriguing. Political thrillers always call for a little extra attention as the topic is quite close to us, and with Prassthanam, Sanjay has managed to hit the right nerve.

The trailer of Prassthanam begins with a monologue between a grandfather and his grandson. It is about how killing someone is a sin and the son then questions why Ram killed Ravan. The story moves on to Sanjay, a strong political leader, lauding his son played by Ali Fazal and how his legacy belongs to him. Then comes his younger son in Satyajeet Dubey who sadly is not on the right track and creates problems for Sanjay’s political party. It is a tale of legacy and power that ruins a family by pitting two brothers against each other. Manisha Koirala plays the role of Sanjay’s wife and she barely has any scenes in the trailer. Jackie Shroff and Chunky Panday are totally into their characters. High-pitched dialogues and some violent action scenes make Prassthanam trailer a good watch. It does have a feel of the typical Bollywood Political thriller but guess, that was the motive and makers got it right. Watch the trailer below:

Prassthanam releases on September 20 which means it is going to clash with Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan’s The Zoya Factor.
