Preity Zinta’s Cousin Shoots Himself In Shimla; Blames Wife & In-Laws

Preity Zinta might be in
state of shock right now, as her cousin Nitin Chauhan has committed suicide in
Shimla on Friday morning.
As reported by a leading daily, Chauhan shot
himself with a pistol in a vehicle bearing the registration number HP 51 2089
near Sector 2, new Shimla.
The Police reports said that Chauhan shot himself in
the head with a pistol. During their search for evidences, The Police recovered two
suicide notes, one from the car and the other from home.
Sources said the victim blamed his wife and
in-laws for driving him to suicide. “The victim and his wife had separated two
years ago. The case regarding legal separation was pending in the court,” a
senior police official said, adding, “The hearing of the case was on Friday.”
According to the police officer who was on the
spot, in both suicide notes, of four pages each, Chauhan blamed his wife and
in-laws of harassing him by filing false cases. He also accused them of not
allowing him to meet his son.
Chauhan’s mother in her statement to the police
said that he was at home last night but when his mother went to his room
around midnight, he
wasn’t there. She thought, he had gone for a drive. In the morning, they saw
his vehicle parked roadside and blood near the car.
On the basis of the suicide note, the police has
registered case of abetment to suicide against In-laws and started the
investigation. However, The Police yet to trace the source of weapon as the family
in their statement revealed that they do not possess any weapon.
