Priyanka Chopra And Rajkummar Rao To Star In Netfix's Adaptation Of Aravind Adiga's The White Tiger
Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao have been roped in to star in the screen adaptation of Aravind Adiga's award winning novel The White Tiger. Scheduled to go floors in October in India itself, it is titled also The White Tiger. Movie will be produced by Mukul Deora and Priyanka Chopra and directed by Ramin Bahrain
Industry's two powerhouses Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao are all set to take the digital platform by storm. News of PeeCee and Rao collaborating for an upcoming film on the popular digital platform, Netflix has created tremendous amount of excitement among the audience. Based on the Aravind Adiga's award winning novel The White Tiger. The film title is also The White Tiger. Directed by Ramin Bahrain, it will be backed by Mukul Deora and Priyanka Chopra as well. The film will go on floors in October 2019 in India.
Adding to the pivotal cast is debutante Adarsh Gourav, who will also feature in the movie. Elated with joy Priyanka expressed her excitement to work with Ramin and Netflix platform which assures to bring such a promising story for the audience. Further she spoke about how collaborating with Rajkummar had left her thrilled and looking forward to something so wonderful.
Rajkummar too feels it is the best time for the actors and he is thrilled to be a part of such a unique project. He also mentioned how he is also an admirer of Ramin's work. Along with directing Ramin has also penned the screenplay of the movie.
The White Tiger narrates an extraordinary story of a self-made man and his journey from rags to riches, from a tea shop worker to a successful businessman.
Bahrain was quoted saying by IANS, "I have wanted to make a film of Aravind Adiga’s brilliant novel The White Tiger for over a decade. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with Mukul Deora, Netflix and such an incredible cast on this project.”
