Priyanka Chopra Gets Emotional While Promoting The Sky Is Pink, Says 'My Parents Sacrificed Their Lives So I Could Have Mine'
Time and again Priyanka Chopra has mentioned that she relates to her reel character of Aditi Chaudhary, from her upcoming film The Sky Is Pink. During promotions for the film, the actress got a tad emotional as she revealed that her parents - mother Madhu Chopra and father, late Ashok Chopra, sacrificed their life aside so that she could have hers
Priyanka Chopra is on a promotional spree of her upcoming film, The Sky Is Pink. Co-starring Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf, the film is scheduled to release on October 11. While giving her interview the global icon never forgets to mention that she can relates so much to the character that she is playing in the film. In The Sky Is Pink, Priyanka Chopra will essay the role of 13 years old girl, Aisha Chaudhary’s mother, Aditi Chaudhary. Aisha was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and passed away in 2015.
Now in a latest interview with PTI, Peecee said that just like her reel character Aditi Chaudhary, her real parent too sacrificed their lives to that she can have hers. She said, “My parents were like that with me. They stood by me and supported me over their own dreams and ambitions. They sacrificed their lives so that I could have mine and I feel like in this cynical world today, where we somehow become solitary from our families. This is the kind of family film that reminds you, how important family is and how important the support of your family is. I found that just so beautiful, especially in the world of today.”
Furthermore she revealed that her reel character Aditi was best friends with her daughter like she’s with her mother Madhu Chopra. She said that she is best friends with her mother. They go party together, go to concerts and hang out. She said, “She has also known my entire journey from all my boyfriends to my husband. She has been my best person. Seeing that in Aditi to me was as if I was playing what my mother has been to me.”
Talking about the film, Priyanka said that this is a story of a real life couple who thrived under extraordinary circumstances and have not been bogged down by it. In the film Aisha’s mother and father put themselves aside and so that they can give their daughter not a long life but a big life.
