Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone made heads turn at the MET Gala this morning. Peecee’s silver textured dress by Dior saw many takers. The actress’ bold and beautiful avatar not only earned praise but even called for hilarious memes. Deepika, on the other hand, was dressed like a Barbie doll in a custom-made Zac Posse gown that boasted of more than 400 3D printed pieces.
The divas surely won several hearts with their super stylish and risqué ensembles, the after party was no less. Priyanka changed into something comfy as she was dressed in a sparkling silver outfit. Deepika was wearing a yellow dress that had a huge black and white striped coat. Nick, looked dapper in a classic black and white suit. Since a couple of days, Priyanka had been treating us with her past looks from MET Gala, creating curiosity around her this year’s looks. And we must say, it has been worth the wait! On the personal front, Priyanka’s brother Siddharth’s wedding to Ishita Kumar was called off. When we contacted Priyanka’s mother, Dr Madhu Chopra, she told us, "My son Siddharth said he was not ready for marriage yet. He explained he needed more time."
Recently, the actress turned bridesmaid at Nick Jonas’s brother Joe’s wedding ceremony with Sophie Turner. Priyanka also made it to the Gold House’s second annual A100 list of the most influential Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in American culture. Speaking of Deepika Padukone, the actress has been shooting for her upcoming flick titled Chhapaak that’s based on the real life story of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. Pictures from the sets have been going viral and B-Town even applauded her effort to portray this character on the big screen.
