Several Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities have come forward to contribute in whatever way they can amid the second devastating wave of Coronavirus in India. From donating funds, to sharing leads and arranging for hospital beds, oxygen cylinders, medicines and more, celebrities have also been using their social media platforms to help connect with those in need of medical resources. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas set up a fundraiser Together For India, a few weeks ago, and now, the couple has also extended their support towards another cause- hunger and malnutrition in India.

On Thursday, Priyanka Chopra Jonas took to her Twitter account and shared a video message by her and Nick Jonas.  Nick said that with the help of people donating to the fundraiser, they have managed to raise over 1 million dollars for India to support oxygen supply for COVID patients, and set up vaccination centers. Sharing updates about the fundraiser, he said that the funds raised so far have helped them arrange for 500 oxygen concentrators, 422 cylinders and helped over 6,000 people get vaccinated. Further, Priyanka announced that they will also be extending their support to another need of the hour, that is, hunger and malnutrition.

Sharing the video, Priyanka wrote, “We are overwhelmed by the support that has come in & as we continue to raise more to support India's healthcare infrastructure, we’d also like to extend support to another critical need that has emerged in our battle against Covid, fighting Hunger & malnutrition across India.”

Priyanka and Nick urged people to come together and support India amid the crisis. They also informed that Give India will be helping to serve cooked meals and dry ration to municipal wards, municipal staff, orphanages, elderly in need, patients, daily wagers, migrant workers and others.
