Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas Wedding: Venue For Sangeet Ceremony Shifted From Mehrangarh Fort To Umaid Bhawan
All wedding ceremonies of the couple will now take place under one roof at the Umaid Bhawan. As the Jodhpur police has refused extensive security for Priyanka Chopra’s wedding due to the upcoming elections in the state, now the Mehrangarh Fort ceremonies have been shifted to Umaid Bhawan
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' wedding is the talk of the town. People are curious to know about every detail related to the grand celebration. While the wedding is taking place at the Umaid Bhawan, the sangeet ceremony was initially said to take place at the Mehrangarh Fort. However, due to security concerns the venue for the sangeet has now been shifted to Umaid Bhawan itself.
According to a report on TOI, the couple requested for police protection from Umaid Bhawan to Mehrangarh Fort. Despite having hired a private security agency, they wanted the local police force's help as well. However, due to the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan, the Jodhpur police has refused to provide them protection. So now, all the functions will take place at the Umaid Bhawan.
As Priyanka and Nick wanted a private ceremony with no prying cameras around, having all the functions under one roof would surely ensure that. The couple will soon be leaving for Jodhpur.
Also it's being reported that the couple is spending a whopping Rs 3.93 crore on their stay and pre-wedding ceremonies. They are also said to start the festivities with a puja on November 28.
Last night, they were seen on a double date with Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner. Also joining them at the dinner were Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Tarun Mansukhani and many other close pals of PeeCee.
Priyanka, being a thorough professional might not take time off after the wedding for a honeymoon. She will dive straight into the promotions of her production venture Pahuna, right after the wedding. She is also said to attend the screening of the film on December 7 with Nick Jonas.
