Priyanka Chopra married American singer and boyfriend Nick
Jonas in 3-day long wedding functions at Umaid Bhavan, Jodhpur, Rajasthan in
December last year. The duo had a white wedding followed by the Hindu one and
the pictures proved that their weddings were no less than a fairy tale. While
Peecee was shining bright in her wedding attire, we are sure the actress must
be missing her father, Ashok Chopra equally. The actress, who will next be seen
in The Sky Is Pink lost his father on June 10, 2013.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is making her Bollywood comeback with Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink. As the actress in on the promotional spree of the film, Peecee has recently revealed that her father would constantly ask her “Main suit kab silwaau”. During an interview with Zoom, Peecee said, “I was getting married during this movie and I missed my dad so much at that time. I missed his presence so much knowing that my mom would be doing it all alone when it was all that my dad wanted and would keep saying ‘Main suit kab silwaau, main suit kab silwaau’. It was very prevalent in my brain at that time and this definitely helps me heal.”
Further talking about it Priyanka said, “I don’t think I knew how to deal with all the emotions I was feeling. Under the tutelage of Shonali (Bose), I was playing Aditi and understanding that death is the most natural thing that we know will happen to each one of us. Instead of mourning the person you have lost, you celebrate the life that was lived.”
She later added, “After dad passed, I, my brother and my mother decided consciously to do it, but I still had a lot of negative feelings. I felt abandoned, I was angry and there were a lot of feelings that I had and didn’t know what to do with them.”
