Many public figures have been subjected to online trolling but this time it is actor Priyanka Chopra’s mother Madhu Chopra. Just recently, the actor’s mother took to her Twitter account and tried to slam a news publication for comparing actor Priyanka Chopra's dress to Deepika Padukone’s. She claimed that her daughter can carry haute couture better. Now, she has found herself at the receiving end of criticism as netizens quickly trolled her. From wondering why is she bothered with their outfits to calling her ‘embarrassing’.
Among many, a user commented on Madhu’s tweet saying that she either needs glasses or should refrain from commenting to make her daughter superior. It read, “Aunty Ji ... pls stop. U either need a new pair of eye glasses or just don’t comment in support of ur daughter to make her superior to other actresses (which she definitely is NOT)” while another one said, “What a joke, u should be awarded with Oscars for doing this! Such a good comedian u re! Why don't u compare urself with the legend Charlie Chaplin? No doubt we are going to choose u, because #Madhuaunty does comedy better than #Charlie”
There was another one who seemed to be Padukone’s fan as the tweet read, “Only a blind would say Chopra carries it better. Deepika has amazing figure and age is on her side too.”
For the unversed, the picture in question was of Priyanka who was seen wearing Tom Ford’s body con black dress for her recent Vogue shoot which was similar to Deepika’s black dress. However, seeing both the looks getting compared, Madhu Chopra couldn’t hold herself back and quickly dropped a comment saying, “Only a blind will think they are wearing same@outfit. Besides Pri always carries Haute couture better.”
While many trolled her for the same, Madhu did not ignore the criticism who instantly replied to one Twitter user. When a netizen wrote, "Aunty is so embarrassing", she replied, "Stating facts is not embarrassing".
