Priyanka Chopra & Shahid Kapoor Send Birthday Wishes To Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone has been inundated with congratulatory messages from both fans and her Bollywood colleagues on her 31st birthday today. But the two names which caught our eye were Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Priyanka has been pitted against Deepika in the race to become the most prominent Indian face in Hollywood while Shahid Kapoor plays Deepika’s husband in the upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus Padmavati.

And then there is the other connection. Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor were romantically involved in 2010. The affair had famously come to light when Shahid was found at Priyanka’s place during a late night income tax raid. Deepika too was linked to Shahid briefly, a few years later. And now the trio has reunited on Twitter.

Priyanka, who was recently in India for the holidays, has tried to downplay rumours of a cold war between her and Deepika. When asked for her take on Deepika’s upcoming Hollywood debut xXx: Return Of Xander Cage, the Quantico star had said:  “I have always said Deepika (Padukone) is extremely talented and beautiful. I wish her the best with xXx and I think the way the trailers have turned out to be, it looks amazing. I hope Deepika gets the kind of recognition that she’s aiming for."

Also Shahid Kapoor who rarely tweets for Deepika Padukone, wished his Padmavati wife in a very sweet way!
