Producer Anand Pandit Shares An Update On His Covid Relief Work With Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn-EXCLUSIVE
Recently, producer, distributor, real estate developer and philanthropist, Anand Pandit joined hands with actors Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn respectively to help set up new Covid care centres to work towards Covid relief in Mumbai in these testing times.

Talking about his work, Anand says, “Since I am in the real estate business, I understand the ground reality and what is actually happening.” He goes on to assert that the film industry is always the first to come in front and help in such tough times. “Film industry is always supportive as and when there is a requirement and I feel this is the only industry which understands how to give back to society. So, everyone is active in their own way,” he insists.

On his collaboration with Ajay for Covid relief work, Anand shares the details, informing, “Ajay and I together started one 20-seater ICU hospital in Dadar with the help of the local BMC, tied up with Hinduja Hospital. That ICU was very helpful during the peak and thankfully there are very few patients today. I am thankful to God for that.”

Anand also joined hands with Big B for another centre and there also the number of cases is on a decline. “Amitabh sir is always on the frontline when there is a calamity out there. Recently, he called me saying that since we both live in Juhu, why don’t we start a care centre here. So, we converted one school in Juhu to a Covid centre with 25 beds. Fortunately, there are very few patients there today. As the trend is, it seems like things are coming under control now,” he concludes on a hopeful note.
