Retired Army Officer Sangay Tsheltrim shares that luck by chance meeting with Salman Khan landed him a role in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai
Salman Khan is known to launch people with his films, his recent release Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai added one more aspiring actor to the movie business. Sangay Tsheltrim, seen portraying the role of Lota in the movie, marked his Bollywood debut with this flick. The Bhutanese Army officer who took voluntary retirement to represent his country in fitness competitions internationally mentions his first meeting with Salman Khan. He met him on the sets of Dabangg and was humbled to see the actor's warm gesture towards him.
In an interview with Indian Express, he mentioned being in Mumbai for a digital project by Haider Khan. That's when he asked him if would like to meet Salman Khan. He said, “One night he told me he was going to meet Salman Khan on Dabangg set and would I be interested to come along.” Continuing further he added after he refused tea and coffee, the actor offered him a protein shake, back then the actor chatted with him on bodybuilding and fitness. He said, “He sat and spoke to me for more than an hour, and only when he was asked to come on the floors did he step out. It was so kind of him to give that respect and love to a stranger.”
Two months later Haider called up Sangay to inform him that Salman Khan had an offer for him and that’s how he landed a role in Radhe. Sangay mentioned Khan being very supportive and also made him understand the film business when he came to sign the contract. He said, “When I had come to Mumbai to sign Radhe, he also assured that I understood how the movie business works. He would ask me to be on the Dabangg set and even took me to the Bigg Boss set. He respects me and I have never felt like an outsider in his presence.”
