Actress Sherlyn Chopra, who had levelled serious allegations of 'sexual misconduct' against businessman Raj Kundra, has now been asked by the Mumbai Crime Branch to appear before them today for questioning in connection to the pornography case involving Raj Kundra.
Confirming the same, ANI tweeted, “Property Cell of Mumbai Police Crime Branch has summoned actress Sherlyn Chopra asking her to appear before it for questioning today in connection with the porn film production case in which businessman Raj Kundra was arrested: Mumbai Police.”
The Property Cell had earlier summoned Sherlyn Chopra to appear before them on July 27 to record her statement in the pornography case. According to a report in Times of India, in her complaint, she alleged that Raj Kundra called her business manager about a proposal in 2019. After the business meeting, Sherlyn claimed that Raj Kundra came to her house without any prior intimation. As per the report, he landed at her place over an argument related to a text message. The report also stated that Sherlyn alleged that Raj Kundra started kissing her despite her resistance.
The actress had also applied to the Mumbai Sessions Court for anticipatory bail in the porn racket case. However, the Mumbai Sessions court had rejected her bail application.
Raj Kundra had been arrested on July 19 in connection with the production of pornographic content via his app.
