Rajinikanth has ruled the hearts of Indian cinema’s audiences for the last 50 years. His name, fame, sense of style and saw are undoubtedly one of the factors that have captivated the audiences. However, fans have now found Indian legend Rajinikanth’s lookalike in Pakistan and the video has been going viral.
It’s obvious, his influence extends far beyond national borders, especially where his films aren’t usually released.
Interestingly, someone from Pakistan might easily take up the opportunity of being cast as Rajinikanth’s lookalike! Rehmat Gashkori, who is a retired government employee from Pakistan, is a spitting lookalike of the Thalaivar star. To add on to his popularity, he even began mimicking the Indian superstar and has taken the internet by storm. From copying Rajni’s swag to his cigarette-lighting chops, he is doing it all.
In a recent viral video, Gashkori expressed his sincere desire to meet the iconic Indian star and have a group shot with him. He also shared a sweet memory of being recognized as Rajinikanth’s lookalike. In the video, he recalled being surrounded by people when he went to a shopping mall and people around started taking selfies.
Some people even asked if he was Rajinikanth. To which he politely replied, “Yes, but from Pakistan!”
Internationally renowned journalists have shared the footage and asked the consummate actor to comply.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Rajinikanth will shortly begin filming his Nelson-directed movie ‘Jailer’ which nearing its completion.
The 71-year-old entertainer’s upcoming films Thalaivar 170 and Thalaivar 171 will be introduced on November 5th with a grand pooja by Lyca Productions.
